Getting started

How do I start counting without an account?

Open Wizards’ Club and use the counter straight away. You do not need an account to adjust life totals or choose the number of players. While you are signed out, the table shows Just counting: your play is not being recorded in match history.

Before you start

Open the app while you have an internet connection for your first visit, so it can load onto your device. After that, the counter can work offline.

Choose the players and starting life before you begin. Changing either setting starts a new game and resets the table’s life totals.

Set up the table

  1. Open the counter.
  2. Tap the round menu button in the centre of the table. In the one-player layout, it is at the top right.
  3. On Play, choose Number of players. You can use one to six players.
  4. Choose Starting life: 20, 30 or 40.
  5. Use Back to counter to return to the table.
  6. Tap a player’s + or − area to change that player’s life total.

The player panels face different sides of the table so each person can read their own total. If you add a life by mistake, subtract one to correct it.

What gets saved?

With working browser storage, the current table is kept on this device so you can return to it. That local table is different from a recorded match: signed-out play does not create a history of results or appear on another device.

To record future games in your history, sign in before playing. Signing in after anonymous play cannot reconstruct that game.

Start again

Open the menu and choose New game. If you have already changed the table, read the confirmation before clearing it. Resetting the table does not record a winner.

If something is unexpected

  • I cannot find my result in History. While you are signed out, Just counting means no match result is recorded. You can keep using the counter.
  • I want to keep the table when I return. Use the same browser or app installation with storage enabled. Clearing website data can remove the local table. Private browsing and unavailable storage can prevent it from surviving after you close the app.
  • I opened the settings by mistake. Use Back to counter without changing the player count or starting life. Opening the menu itself does not start a new game.
