How do I claim the contact a host made for me before I had an account?
The host opens your contact and taps No account yet? Show claim QR. You scan that QR with your phone, sign in or create an account and check the question on Claim contact. Tap Yes, this is me: the host's contact is linked to your account, and the games and decks the host recorded for you land with you.

Three different codes
- A claim code belongs to one contact in a host's list. The host shows it and it works once. This page is about that code.
- A personal link code belongs to an account. The player shows it and the host enters it at the contact.
- A night code has six characters and is for joining a game night.
For the host: show the claim code
- Open Club → Friends and tap the contact. Only a contact that is Only with you offers this.
- Tap No account yet? Show claim QR. The Claim code card shows a QR code, the code itself and the line Only possession of this code grants access.
- Let the player scan the QR with the camera of their own phone.
Every time you open the card a new code is made, and the one shown before stops working. So show it while the player is with you, and do not pass around a picture of it.
Revoke claim code asks Revoke claim code? with The QR and code will stop working. Choose Confirm to make the code useless, or Cancel to keep it.
For you: claim the contact
- Scan the QR with your phone's camera. It opens Claim contact.
- Not signed in yet? You see Sign in first. Sign in, or tap No account yet? Create one.; afterwards you return to the claim.
- Read the question. It names the contact and the host, and how many decks and matches you will receive in your history.
- Tap Yes, this is me. Your contact, decks and history are linked. appears, with View my history to see the games.
No, return to counter changes nothing: you are back at the counter and the code still works for the right person.
What claiming does
- The host's contact is linked to your account. For the host it now shows Linked to an account, and games with you show the name of your account.
- Games the host recorded with you count for you, in your history and statistics. The recorded games themselves are not changed.
- Decks the host made for this contact move to your account.
- The host appears in your friends list, already linked.
- Recent games ask for your confirmation. Matches finished in the last seven days that are not final yet appear under To confirm. If you already automatically trusted the recorder, your confirmation may be given immediately.
- The code is used up. Opening it again shows This claim code is unknown or has been revoked.
If it does not work
- This claim code is unknown or has been revoked. The code was used, revoked or replaced because the host opened the card again. Ask the host to open the card now and scan the new QR.
- No camera at hand. In the app, open Scan a code and type the code: the app recognises it as a claim code and opens Claim contact.
- The host tries it on their own phone. A claim only works from another account than the host's; the page then says You cannot link a contact to your own account.
- The host does not see the claim button. The contact is already linked to an account; then there is nothing left to claim. The same goes when the host already has you as a linked friend under another name: the page says This host already has you as a linked friend, so there is nothing left to claim. and the host can merge the two contacts.
