Accounts and profile

How do I sign in, sign out and switch accounts safely?

You sign in from the Club tab and sign out under Club → the row with your name → Sign out. The table on the counter survives both. The copy of your history, decks and friends leaves the device when you sign out, and anything that has not reached the server yet stays behind under your own account until you sign in again on that same device.

Where the controls are

While you are signed out, the Club tab opens Sign in. Once you are signed in, Club is your own page, and the way out runs through the row with your name at the top — Profile and account — where Sign out sits at the bottom.

There is no account switcher. One device holds one signed-in account at a time, so handing the phone to another player means signing out first and letting them sign in.

Sign in on this device

  1. Open the counter and tap the round menu button in the centre of the table.
  2. Tap Club. While you are signed out, this opens Sign in.
  3. Fill in Email address and Password, then tap Sign in.
  4. You land on Club, or on the page you were trying to open.

Signing in needs a connection; the counter does not. After that the app stays signed in when you close it, and it opens signed in again even with no connection at all. The note The counter works without an account too. under the form is there for anyone who would rather not sign in (see start counting without an account).

Sign out

  1. Tap Club, then the row with your name, Profile and account.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of Profile and tap Sign out.
  3. The app returns to the counter, and Just counting appears under the menu button again.

There is no confirmation question, and signing out works without a connection too. It ends the session on this device only: your other phones and tablets stay signed in. A password reset is the one thing that does sign the others out (see reset a forgotten password).

What stays and what leaves

  • The table stays exactly as it is. Seats, life totals, names, extra counters and backgrounds belong to the device, not to your account: signing out never clears the board.
  • The copy of your account data leaves. History, Statistics, Decks, Friends and Groups are emptied on this device and fetched again after your next sign-in, so the next person on this phone cannot read them.
  • Changes that were not sent yet stay put. They keep your account's name and wait for you; nobody else sends them and nobody else sees them.
  • Counting keeps working. Adjusting life, resetting a player and starting a new game need no account at all.

Handing the phone to another player

  1. Finish the game you are recording first: Game over, pick the Winner, then Finish match.
  2. Sign out under Profile.
  3. Let the other player sign in with their own Email address and Password.
  4. Their sign-in clears this device's copy of the previous account's data before their own is fetched.

Finish the match before signing out. If you already signed out, sign back in with the same account before finishing it. Play can still show Game over for the game left on the table while signed out. If you use it anyway, a different account that signs in next can try to send the result and see This is not yours to change. under Syncing.

Did you finish the match while signed out and then get that rejection? Sign back in with the original account, open Syncing and use Try again on the rejected entries visible there. This does not restore life changes made while signed out. If you only finished after a different account had already signed in, those new entries belong to that other account; the recovery steps above do not resolve that case. Keep the local data and check the match in History under the original account.

Changes waiting to be sent

Play shows the state under Service: Saved locally. Everything is on this device. when nothing is waiting, or Still to sync: 3. while changes are on their way. That line counts your own account only — somebody else signed in on this phone sees their own queue, never yours.

Signing out is never the fix for changes that seem stuck. It does not send them, does not clear them and does not move them to another account; it only makes them wait longer. Sign in again on the same device, stay online for a moment, and open Play → Syncing to see anything the server actually refused.

If it does not work

  • These credentials do not match our records. The address and the password do not go together. The message is deliberately the same for an unknown address and a wrong password; use Forgot your password? under the form if you are not sure which it is.
  • Too Many Attempts. Signing in and creating accounts are limited per minute from the same connection. Wait a minute and try again; this particular message is not translated.
  • No connection. Try again once you are back online. Signing in needs the server. Keep counting meanwhile — nothing on the table is lost.
  • My history is empty right after signing in. It is fetched again after every sign-in. Stay online for a moment and open History once more.
  • The wrong name is at the top of Club. Whoever is signed in owns everything the app records from the first life change on, so sign out before the phone changes hands.
